Frank "Bobo" Marrapese was arrested Tuesday night on a parole violation and is back in prison. According to Captain David Neill of the Rhode Island State police , U.S. Marshals, Cranston Police and state police detectives arrested the 67 year-old Marrapese, at his Cranston home without incident.

Neill said Marrapese's arrest comes after associating with known criminals, a violation of the conditions of his parole. Neill declined to say who those people were. Marrapese was released in 2008 after serving 25 years for the murder of Richard "Dickie" Callei in 1975.

Marrapese was spotted by the State Police Intelligence Unit associating with mob associate Anthony St. Laurent Jr. and former mob boss Raymond "Junior" Patriarca. Marrapese was also involved in a car stop while driving with Vincent Tallo, who has a record of bookmaking and organized criminal gambling.Marrapese will eventually face a parole violation hearing.

St. Laurent Jr. was arrested two weeks ago along with his mother Dorothy St. Laurent and charged with extorting "protection money " from Taunton Massachusetts bookmakers from 1988 to 2009. His father, reputed mafia captain Anthony "The Saint" St. Laurent who is presently incarcerated was also charged with extortion.

The government filed a motion with the courts last week requesting St. Laurent Jr. be barred from associating with a list of wiseguys provided by Federal prosecutor Scott Lawson. The list included Marrapese. A response to the motion by St. Laurent Jr.'s attorney Victor Beretta stated "He will refrain from willful and intentional association, communication or contact with the individuals listed in the Government's motion,"

A judge has not yet ruled on the motion.
